The Fitting Room – Bespoke Wardrobe & Costume Fitting Space

We are a bespoke wardrobe & costume fitting space catering to the film, tv and stills styling industry. With an airy and spacious stylist working room, 3 light and bright fitting rooms, designated cast waiting room and own production house, client and agency meeting room, there is space for everyone. Set in Unit 30, Tudor Park, 61 Hillcrest Ave Blaigowrie, you are in close commute to costume houses and malls and surrounded by access to great food. Super safe business premises with round the clock security, high speed 5G wifi, we are film friendly and can’t wait to host your fitting. Situated one floor up from Stylist’s Own, you will also have access to a full costume house, should you need to pull extra wardrobe during your fitting. Set up by a stylist with over 20 years experience, we are sure it ticks all the wardrobe call boxes.

We’ll send you t’s and c’s, please digitally sign and send back.
If there is no fitting the day before, you are welcome to set up early, we are flexible and want to accommodate your fitting requirements.
We give you keys and show you around, and leave you to run your fitting.
When you are done you drop your set of keys in number 30 postbox downstairs in the reception area of the building, letting us know your hours for billing purposes.
Our invoice is payable immediately, you will receive it within a day of your fitting.

Half day week day R1650 (8am-12pm / 1pm-5pm)
Full day week day R2500 8am-5pm
Saturday R3000 (8am-5pm), Half Day (8am-12pm/1pm-5pm) R1800
Sundays & Public Holidays R3500 (8am-5pm), Half day R2000.
Overtime per hour / early opening R350

Terms and Conditions

Please ensure that production / stylist is responsible for closing windows, locking verandah door, switching off lights and pulling front door closed and locked as well as security door closed and locked at the end of your fitting. We have no full time staff member at The Fitting Room, it works like Air b&b, and so we work on a relationship of mutual respect and trust. We kindly ask that you lock up on your way out. If you are left with a set of keys, we will give you instructions on the key drop box downstairs. If not, you can pull the front door and security gate locked behind you as you leave and the unit will be locked. Please ensure the lights are all off as they can be a fire hazard if left on.
Its a cool building, great space, beautiful people – please may we ask everyone to be respectful of all our neighbours. This great building is filled with small businesses, ranging from therapists to sound engineers to publishers, many of whom are sensitive to noise levels. Please be cool, keep the noise levels down.
Please treat this space with respect, if something breaks let us know, if it’s a little something we will sort it, if it’s a big something we will ask for replacement value. Same goes for missing items.
Please park where the security personnel direct you to park. For stylist and assist, and production house, we have 5 parking bays available, numbers 26, 27,77, 88 and 92, you are welcome to use them. No vehicles are allowed to overnight here, ever, for any reason, body corporate rules. Any vehicles parked overnight will be towed at the expense of the person responsible for said vehicle.
We only have so many visitors parking bays for the whole building. As such we kindly ask you to stagger your cast coming to your fitting, so that there is space for everyone to park. There are 3 fitting rooms and so we ask that 3 cast are called at a time. Please keep agency and client attendance to within reason. At any given time we are allowed 10 people max in a unit. Any complaints and fines will be forwarded to the stylist concerned.
Smoking – there is a table on the balcony for smokers to have a puff, please keep it tidy, cigarette butts in the ashtray provided.
Our payment terms are on invoice, please pay within 7 days. We hugely appreciate this. Bookings cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
You are welcome to set up in the afternoon, the day before your fitting, if there isn’t a booking during this time. Please note, we do not insure your wardrobe.
